My 2013 Ballot

My top 25 films of 2013 is posted here. That list included every new film that I saw in theatres this year, including festival releases. What you see below is my ballot submitted to The Film Experience for our annual Team Experience awards, which is only limited to films that were released theatrically in the United Stated between January 1st and December 31st, 2013. The results of our team awards will be published on January 14th.

  1. Can you explain How O'Hara is supporting in Museum Hours and not lead? I"m uber curious.

    1. Of course, though you may disagree with me.
      I actually think both characters, but more so with O'Hara's, have secondary importance in the film's narrative. They're vessels through which the relationship between us, the world around us and works of art is explored. They have sufficient screen time to be considered lead, but not the narrative requirements of what I generally associate with a lead role.
